These are the darkling beetles that people wanted to put in with Amigo. They are very happy in there I think. It was very sad to some people. They might get eaten by Amigo. The beetles are black already, some of them. There are mealworm and pupa in there too and they are fine. If they get eaten it will be sad then. They might die soon because they do not have a long life span. The beetles eat logs and stuff like that. They like oats, too. You should keep a carrot or apple with them.

Wow - you guys really know so much about the mealworms life cycle!!!!! I do hope that Amigo likes his new "housemates". Why do you think he keeps getting in his water dish????????? Maybe he wants to look his best for his guests?????

I think he's kind of irritated because we had a newt that died. Coppertone
